About Ipsos

Situated on the eastern coastline of Corfu, Ipsos lies just north of Corfu town and the airport and can be accessed via a 16 km drive that lasts approximately 20-30 minutes. The majority of Ipsos’ bars and restaurants are located along the palm tree-lined coastal road that runs parallel to the beach, providing scenic sea views, while a more peaceful area of the town features some establishments set back from the beach. Its charming emerald bay is perfect for a safe and delightful swimming experience. Recently revamped, the road and pavements lend a sense of neatness to the area.
On one side of Ipsos lies Pantokratoras mountain, while on the other side, visitors can enjoy magnificent vistas of the Albanian coastline. The town’s name derives from its location on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, and it sits nestled amidst the breath-taking hills in the northeast of Corfu on the left, with Corfu town visible across the sea on the right. If you choose to venture beyond the primary coastal route, you’ll discover a picturesque fishing port on the left side of the beach that accommodates numerous boats during the day. This peaceful area of Ipsos is perfect for those seeking a more tranquil environment.

Ipsos Beach

Ipsos Bay is home to an expansive palm-lined beach with sand and pebbles, offering a variety of tourist facilities and water-based activities to experience, suitable for all preferences. Ipsos beach is an organized beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and changing rooms providing the perfect setting for a day of relaxation and fun in the sun. The beach is also equipped with amenities catering to visitors with disabilities. The area is home to water sports businesses, an aqua arena and a diving school, with a small harbour located at the southern end offering boat rentals. The waters at Ipsos Beach are clear and relatively shallow, making it an enjoyable place to swim. Driving along the coastal road to the north reveals a wonderful panoramic view of the entire bay. The beach provides a perfect vantage point to appreciate the imposing presence of Mount Pantokrator.
